Ghost Hunting, Charity Pub Day and Fantastic Firework Displays

Wolverhampton, with Halloween fast approaching, and Bonfire Night creeping ever closer, we’ve rounded up a jam packed selection of events that are sure to spark your interest.

Ever wanted to see a real-life ghost? Well you can scour the city for any restless spirits still lingering. Or, if you’re already over spooky season, there’s a local charity pub day with plenty of food, drink and fun.

It’s been a good week for Wolverhampton too, with a new NHS centre opening to make getting an appointment easier, and fresh roadworks meaning fewer pesky potholes ruining our cars.

If you still don’t have Halloween plans, then why not grab tickets for an evening of spooky ghost hunting through the streets of Wolves. The night will be full of secrets, mystery, and the chance to spot some restless spirits hiding in the corners of the city.

The Hail to the Ale Micropub are hosting a day full of games, prizes and a quiz to raise money for men’s mental heath charity Men Walking & Talking Wednesfield. They’ll be cakes, tombola, and a load of really good fun.

This local rugby club is hosting a fireworks display or as they call it, an ‘extravaganza’!With free parking, street food, a fun fair and lots of fun to be had, this is a very good spot to spend your bonfire night.

Bilston gets new NHS centre. A new centre that lets patients come in to quickly get tests, checks and scans is opening up next to the WV Active Bilston-Bert Williams leisure centre. The £25m Community Diagnostics Centre is meant to speed up services for people in the area. Find out more.

Work to improve roads. Good news for drivers, Stowheath Lane, Dunstall Lane, Castlecroft Road and Nelson Avenue are next in line for a full resurface, starting 9 November. Most of the work will happen overnight, so disruption should be kept to a minimum.

Food waste service starts this week. From this week, kerbside households will able to recycle scraps and plate scrapings, like fruit and vegetable peelings, meat and fish bones, eggshells, teabags and coffee grounds, which can be recycled and help save space in your regular bins. Find out more.
